What is Visual Minutes?
Visual Minutes is a live, illustrated record of conferences, events, meetings and debates. It is the art of listening and capturing words in a dynamic, creative and exciting way. The minutes unfold live during the event and the information is brought to life with illustrations and colour. It is Key Note listening, pulling out the key themes, messages, main points and words. It is a way of making information digestible.
How many artists do we need?
We work as a team of artists, 3 or 4 for big conferences and 2 artists for meetings. If there is multiple workshops / discussions happening at the same time which you would like capturing, you will need an artist for each one. Otherwise groups need to feedback a summary to the whole room and we can capture that.
How much did you say!?
The cost is £300 per artist per day plus expenses: materials, travel, meals & where necessary accommodation. There will be an admin fee of £50. If you are a charity, social enterprise or community group we offer a discounted fee of is £250 per artist per day plus expenses.
What do we need?
We need is a flat wall which we can put our paper up onto using masking tape which we will bring. The paper is cut to size depending on the content and wall space. Please tell us if you have any preferences for work dimensions, for example is there a space in your office you would like it to go after the event.
We bring all our own materials, and will take a photo of the work when finished which we can send you after the event.
We need at least an hour in the space to finish off after the event ends. Someone will need to be there when we finish to take the completed Visual Minutes. Dropping them off or posting is possible at an additional cost.
Usually we work on paper, but we can also do 3D Visual Minutes and Animations. Please let us know if you are interested in finding out more about this.
